Forecast Drip ("the App") is developed by Marshall Minges. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the App.

Information We Collect

Location Data
The App uses your device's location to retrieve local weather data via Apple WeatherKit. Location data is used in real-time and is not stored on any external server.

Apple ID Information
If you sign in with Apple, we receive your Apple-provided user identifier and, optionally, your name and email address. This information is stored locally on your device to personalize your experience.

Calendar Data
With your permission, the App reads calendar events from your device to help plan outfits for upcoming activities. Calendar data is accessed locally and is never transmitted externally.

Style Preferences
Your style preferences (temperature sensitivity, clothing category, fabric preferences, color preferences, and coverage level) are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.

Shopping Interactions
When you tap "Shop" on an outfit item, the App records the item name locally on your device to improve future outfit suggestions. This data is not shared with third parties.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide weather-based outfit suggestions tailored to your location and preferences
• To generate outfit images using AI services (only your style preferences and weather data are sent — no personal identifiers)
• To display calendar events alongside weather forecasts for outfit planning
• To improve the relevance of future outfit suggestions based on your shopping patterns

Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services to generate outfit suggestions and images:

• Anthropic (Claude API) — receives weather data and anonymized style preferences to generate outfit text suggestions
• OpenAI (DALL-E API) — receives anonymized outfit descriptions to generate outfit images
• Apple WeatherKit — provides weather data based on your location
• Amazon — outfit item shopping links open in your browser; the App does not share personal data with Amazon

No personal identifiers (name, email, Apple ID) are sent to any third-party AI service.

Data Storage and Security

All personal data (preferences, account info, shopping history) is stored locally on your device. We do not operate external servers or databases that store your personal information. Subscription transactions are handled securely by Apple through the App Store.

Data Retention

Your data remains on your device until you sign out or deactivate your account, at which point all locally stored data is deleted.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Your Rights

You can delete all your data at any time by signing out or deactivating your account within the App's Profile settings. You can also revoke location and calendar permissions through your device's Settings app.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
